The Role:

Applications Support Manager (ASM) will free up senior managers (HoSD & SC SDM) for the critical programme. This role will handle their day-to-day tasks (BAU):

  • Prioritising and resolving application issues.
  • Managing staff and resources for smaller ongoing projects.
  • Working with the project office (EPMO) on resource allocation for new projects.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and team player, managing interactions with internal teams, customers, and third-party partners (both domestic and international). Key responsibilities include:

  • Incident Management: Ensure timely resolution of business application problems by prioritising and assigning them efficiently.
  • Project Management: Oversee smaller BAU projects, managing staff allocation and ensuring smooth execution.
  • Resource Management: Manage resources for ongoing tasks and align projects with the Horizon Programme’s needs.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Facilitate clear communication with internal and external stakeholders, including customers in different time zones.
  • Third-Party Management: Oversee tasks and communication with various third-party vendors involved in specific incidents or requests.

Skills & experience required: 
 

  • Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex situations involving multiple external partners.
  • Strong technical SAP background, ideally with prior experience in Supply Chain functions.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing teams.
