Senior Solutions Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join a high-profile transformation programme operating within a complex and evolving technology landscape. This is a fixed term position running through till the end of June 2027.

Working within a complex environment, this role requires strong collaboration across project teams, technical specialists, and business stakeholders. You will play a critical role in shaping a pragmatic future-state architecture that aligns strategic objectives with delivery outcomes, spanning both legacy and modern technology platforms. This role offers the opportunity to influence significant enterprise-wide decisions, providing architectural leadership across technology, data, integration, and security domains. You will help create scalable, sustainable, and secure solutions that support long-term organisational outcomes while enabling successful project delivery.

Day-to-Day responsibilities

• Partner closely with project teams and business stakeholders to develop architecture roadmaps that align technology capabilities with current and future business needs
• Design and define future-state architecture across enterprise platforms, applications, data, integration, and security domains
• Define and document non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability, ensuring these are embedded within solution designs and delivery planning
• Establish and govern integration and data architecture approaches, including data ownership, data flows, interoperability, and consistency across platforms
• Develop architecture artefacts, technical designs, standards, and solution documentation to support delivery, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement
• Evaluate, select, and recommend technology platforms, frameworks, and architectural approaches that align with organisational objectives
• Provide architectural leadership and assurance across multiple workstreams, ensuring decisions are well documented and support future delivery needs
• Support solution sizing, estimation, risk management, and option assessments by providing robust architectural guidance and expertise
• Build strong relationships across project teams and operational areas to ensure architecture decisions are practical, achievable, and deliver value

What we’re looking for

• A senior-level Solution Architect with experience operating within large enterprise organisations and transformation environments
• Proven ability to develop strategic architecture roadmaps while maintaining a pragmatic focus on delivery outcomes
• Strong experience across enterprise applications, data architecture, integration architecture, and technology platforms
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships across projects, technology teams, and business stakeholders, providing practical solutions and clear pathways forward
• Experience translating business and customer requirements into scalable, sustainable, and cost-effective architecture solutions
• Strong understanding of architecture governance, risk management, and solution assurance practices
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences using clear and accessible language
• A collaborative and influential approach, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment across diverse teams
