About the Role
As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade data solutions that support critical business decisions. Working closely with Data Engineering Leaders and Architecture teams, you’ll build scalable data pipelines and platforms, mentor engineers, and drive best practice across governance, quality, and design.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines and architectures.
- Mentor engineers and champion best practice across data engineering.
- Collaborate with architecture teams to shape the data platform landscape.
- Identify inefficiencies and improve systems through automation and optimisation.
- Ensure data solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned to future needs.
Skills & Experience Required
We’re looking for a senior, technically strong data engineer with:
- 10+ years’ experience with ETL tools (ADF, AWS Glue or similar).
- Advanced SQL expertise and strong Python programming skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
- Deep understanding of data architecture (data lakes, warehouses, lakehouse).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to mentor and influence teams.
