Solutions Architect

Are you a Solution Architect who enjoys designing end-to-end solutions across cloud, infrastructure, integration and enterprise platforms?
 
We’re partnering with a large New Zealand organisation seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a high-performing architecture practice. This is an opportunity to influence technology direction, shape future-state architecture, and work on business-critical initiatives across a large and complex enterprise environment.
 
You’ll join a collaborative team of nine architects supporting a major corporate portfolio, with the opportunity to influence solution design across a broad range of enterprise initiatives.
 
About the Role
As a Solution Architect, you’ll be responsible for translating business needs into practical, scalable technology solutions. Working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams and vendors, you’ll own solution design from concept through to implementation and operational handover.
 
This role requires a well-rounded architect capable of designing end-to-end solutions across cloud, infrastructure, integration and enterprise environments.
 
You’ll play a key role in shaping future-state capabilities, exploring opportunities for AI and emerging technologies, and ensuring solutions are secure, resilient and designed for long-term success.
 
What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing end-to-end solution architectures across applications, data, integration, infrastructure and cloud platforms
• Producing high-level and detailed solution designs
• Evaluating solution options, risks, trade-offs and recommendations
• Working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and define future-state solutions
• Providing architectural leadership through delivery, testing and operational transition
• Influencing technology direction, standards and governance practices
• Engaging with internal teams, business stakeholders and external vendors
• Designing solutions that support highly available, secure and resilient enterprise environments

 
What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience delivering solution architecture within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong experience designing solutions across Azure, infrastructure, networking, SaaS, ERP, and integration domains.
• Experience owning architecture decisions and leading solution design from concept through to delivery.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate business challenges into technology outcomes.
• Able to engage with business stakeholders, influence decisions, and explain the rationale behind a solution.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and resilient solutions.
• Curiosity around emerging technologies, including AI and modern cloud capabilities.
