Technical Lead – Geospatial

About the Role

Our public sector client are looking for a Technical Lead (Technical Delivery Manager) with strong GIS domain knowledge to lead complex geospatial initiatives on a 16-18 mo. Fixed Term assignment. In this role, you’ll coordinate across vendors, ICT teams, and stakeholders to deliver key projects, including cloud migration of ArcGIS, mapping enhancements for CAD, and a new application. You will operate as a technical leader, evaluating solutions and guiding project delivery in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of geospatial initiatives
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors
• Manage delivery plans, budgets, and timelines
• Review and challenge technical solutions and vendor proposals
• Foster Agile practices and support product delivery
• Ensure solutions meet operational and strategic needs

Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of GIS technologies, especially ArcGIS
• Proven ability to lead complex technology projects
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud migration, especially Azure
• Experience working in Agile, product-focused environments
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to evaluate technical solutions without direct hands-on development
