Cloud Systems Administrator

About the Role

Our public sector client are looking for an Intermediate or Senior Cloud Systems Administrator for a 3 to 4-month contract, with the possibility of extension and/or transition to an internal role. This position involves managing and improving our client’s hybrid (on-premises and cloud) network environment, supporting remote sites, and driving their cloud-first strategy.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network solutions and cloud infrastructure
• Manage hybrid network interconnections and security
• Support developers with DevOps practices and troubleshooting
• Create technical documentation and runbooks
• Coach and support Engineering and DevOps teams
• Ensure security and compliance across systems

Skills & Experience

• Strong on-premises network and cloud networking skills
• Experience with Windows Active Directory, GPOs, and Virtualisation
• Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell or similar) and Infrastructure-As-Code
• Familiarity with MS Azure networking solutions
• Prior experience with security frameworks, BCP/DR, and vulnerability assessments
• Ability to do 3rd level support for infrastructure incidents
