About the Role

This is a hands-on, varied role that combines service desk, systems administration and cloud engineering. You’ll be the front-facing IT expert for staff across the organisation, while also managing relationships with external support and infrastructure partners. With ownership across key Microsoft technologies—including Azure, Intune, Autopilot, and Defender—you’ll support the organisation’s cyber security roadmap, cloud performance, and infrastructure improvements.
This is a great opportunity for a Systems Engineer ready to make a big impact in a small team, offering breadth and responsibility across support, cloud and security.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage the ICT service desk, resolving and escalating issues as required
• Support staff with device setup, training, and ongoing hardware optimisation
• Own the mobile device fleet via Intune and Autopilot, including AV setups and configuration
• Monitor and enhance Azure environment in partnership with support vendors
• Implement cyber security controls and contribute to the cyber security roadmap

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role across support and infrastructure
• Hands-on knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, and device management tools
• Solid understanding of cyber security principles and disaster recovery planning
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills to support technical and non-technical users
• Familiarity with service desk tools (e.g., Zoho), cloud platforms, and hybrid environments
• Relevant certifications or a degree in IT, Computer Science or related field are desirable
