ABOUT THE ROLE

As Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for demonstrating end to end data building, designing and delivering duties on complex projects from migration to BAU using the Kimball methods.
While being the technical ETL Data Engineering expert who is running Agile Squad sessions, you will also find new Data solutions, defining BI, DW and ETL processes and optimising efficiency, and effectiveness. 

This includes writing SQL codes and data related business requirements as well working with SNOWFLAKE and providing recommendations, technical mentorship and peer reviews within a team environment.
You will also ensure that Data related projects are delivered to scope and ensure support service levels are achieved.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR 

• Being a BI and Data-warehouse expert focusing on multiple projects
• Deliver Data solutions to stakeholders where you define the options fo future streams of work
• Own and drive development to best support business needs
• Strengthen technical ability to improve business capability
• Provide day to day support to the BU to ensure compliance with SLA’s

WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum 7 years’ experience as Data Engineer with a strong background with MS Data technologies especially with SNOWFLAKE
• Provide technical mentoring, coaching and created collaborative working environments
• High proficiency in Azure Data Management including data factory, Synapse Analysis and PowerBI
• Working knowledge of Python and or DataBricks
• Expertise in Snowflake, SQL especially around data ingestion, data vaults and dimension modelling
• Demonstrated experience of supporting 24 x 7 business critical high preforming solutions
• Ability to perform as well as assist user in performing User Acceptance Testing
