We’re partnering with a growing consulting and technology business seeking an ERP Consultant (Accounting & Finance) to help clients successfully implement ERP and accounting solutions while improving financial and operational processes. This is an excellent opportunity to combine your accounting expertise with consulting, technology, and project delivery in a client-facing role.

Working alongside experienced consultants, you’ll support organisations through the full ERP implementation lifecycle, helping clients optimise the way they manage their finances, reporting, and business operations.

The Role

As an ERP Consultant, you’ll work directly with clients to understand their business requirements and deliver practical system solutions. You’ll be involved in the implementation of ERP and accounting platforms, guiding organisations through process improvement, system configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.

This role combines consulting, accounting, stakeholder engagement, and technology, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to move beyond traditional finance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand business requirements, financial processes, and operational challenges.
• Support ERP and accounting system implementation projects from discovery through to go-live.
• Facilitate workshops, process reviews, and requirements-gathering sessions.
• Translate business and accounting requirements into effective system solutions.
• Assist with data migration, system testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation activities.
• Deliver user training and provide ongoing client support.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and system optimisation.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across finance, operations, and leadership teams.

About You To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

• A relevant New Zealand accounting qualification.
• Previous experience within a finance or accounting function.
• Strong understanding of financial processes, general ledger structures, month-end reporting, reconciliations, accruals, and management reporting.
• Exposure to ERP, accounting, or business systems.
• Experience supporting or participating in ERP implementations, accounting system deployments, business transformation, or process improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Client-facing experience within consulting, implementation, advisory, or customer-focused environments.
• A genuine interest in technology, business systems, and continuous improvement.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong problem-solving capability.
