Our client is a large organisation supporting communities through essential services and undertaking transformation initiatives to improve consistency, access and operational effectiveness.

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a complex transformation initiative. This is a people-focused role with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, workshop facilitation and process improvement.
Working with regional teams, operational stakeholders and subject matter experts, you will understand current ways of working, identify opportunities for improvement and help shape practical future-state processes. You will document requirements, map processes and support agreed changes across multiple teams and systems.
The initiative is focused on improving consistency, visibility, prioritisation and information flow while reducing fragmented processes and manual administration. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing ambiguity and building relationships across a broad stakeholder group.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand current processes, challenges and future needs.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to capture requirements and build alignment.
  • Map current-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Document business requirements, process changes and future-state procedures.
  • Support the design and implementation of consistent ways of working.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve information flow.
  • Build strong relationships across regional and operational teams.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated senior Business Analyst experience within complex programmes or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Proven experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements.
  • Experience mapping and improving business processes.
  • Ability to build relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity.
  • Experience supporting change across multiple teams, systems or locations.
  • Experince with complex IT system mapping and changes
  • Experience within a regulated, health or public service environment would be advantageous.

Contract Details

  • Contract through to 30 June 2027.
  • Rate: $110 per hour plus GST.
  • Northland-based candidates preferred, with Auckland-based candidates also considered.
  • Working arrangements will be discussed with suitable candidates.
