About the Organisation

Our client is a large financial services organisation that delivers customer‑critical and nationally significant payment services. Their platforms support high‑volume, real‑time and batch processing environments and are central to ongoing regulation standards delivery and domestic payments capability.

Two senior opportunities are available within a Payments technology function. These roles focus on ensuring quality across complex, integration‑heavy systems that operate at scale. You will work within secure, high‑availability environments, contributing across automation, performance, and end‑to‑end testing, while partnering closely with engineering and product teams.

These are hands‑on senior roles suited to testers who take ownership of quality outcomes and can contribute immediately in delivery‑focused environments.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain automation frameworks for enterprise payment systems
• Execute performance and load testing across high‑volume transactional platforms
• Deliver API, integration and end‑to‑end testing across distributed services
• Analyse defects, identify root causes, and assess business and system impact
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and continuous quality improvement practices
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners and stakeholders to reduce delivery risk

Skills & Experience

• Senior test engineering background with strong automation focus
• Hands‑on experience with SpecFlow, ReqNRoll, or similar frameworks
• Proven performance testing capability using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner
• Experience with payments platforms or other mission‑critical, high‑throughput systems
• Strong API, integration, and end‑to‑end testing capability
• Experience working with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines

Nice to Have

• Exposure to payments or 24×7 high‑availability platforms
• Experience within financial services or regulated environments
• ISTQB Foundation certification
• Familiarity with Azure cloud environments
• Experience influencing or mentoring testing practices
