The Role:
The Business Systems Specialist based in Tauranga will be crucial in optimising business systems, with a primary focus on Dynamics 365 (D365). This involves analysing, recommending, and implementing system enhancements, leading cross-functional projects, and ensuring the full leverage of D365 through a deep understanding of business processes. Key responsibilities include optimising business processes within D365, developing and delivering training and user enablement, managing Power BI reporting and data strategy, providing ERP system support and maintenance, and facilitating strong vendor and stakeholder collaboration. Ultimately, this role drives efficiency, performance, and continuous improvement by providing clear insights for better decision-making.
Skills & Experience Required
- Business Analysis & Problem Solving: You can analyse business processes, pinpoint issues, and propose practical solutions that align with company goals. This includes performing gap analysis to identify current and future requirements and aligning them with best practices.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power BI Expertise: You’re skilled in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI, able to configure systems, explain technical details clearly to users, and facilitate the adoption of new tools. You also have knowledge of reporting within Dynamics 365 and familiarity with the broader Microsoft stack and its integration capabilities.
- Data Infrastructure & Analysis: You possess a strong understanding of data infrastructure, including Data Warehouses and Data Lakes, with the ability to efficiently extract and analyze data using tools like Azure Synapse and Azure Data Lake Storage.
- Communication & Collaboration: You communicate clearly with diverse teams and vendors, and can build credibility and foster collaborative, problem-solving partnerships with both internal and external colleagues.
- Project Management & Ownership: You’re adept at managing multiple tasks and vendor relationships to deliver system improvements and data projects on time, while taking ownership of results.
- Professionalism & Experience: You maintain a positive and flexible attitude amidst change, acting responsibly and ethically. You hold a degree in Information Systems, IT, Business Administration, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment. Experience or certifications in ERP systems (like Microsoft Dynamics 365) and business process management are also considered a strong asset.
