Technical Delivery Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Coordinator to support the rollout of technology infrastructure across multiple sites within a large government environment. This is a part-time contract running from 1 December 2026 to 31 October 2027, offering approximately 360 hours across the engagement. Hours are flexible and expected to range from 4 to 16 hours per week, depending on project requirements.

This is a hands-on coordination role focused on the physical deployment of technology. You will work closely with network engineers, cabling contractors, security installers, audio-visual vendors, and construction teams to ensure sites are ready for implementation and that technology installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Rather than managing projects from behind a desk, you’ll spend time onsite coordinating installation activities, resolving issues, and ensuring all technical and construction dependencies are completed before equipment is deployed.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate onsite technology infrastructure deployments across multiple locations.
• Act as the primary point of contact during installation and implementation activities.
• Confirm site readiness before technology installations commence, including checking infrastructure, power, communications rooms, and construction works.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, installers, and technical teams to ensure work is completed in the correct sequence.
• Support the deployment and commissioning of:
  • Network infrastructure (LAN/WAN)
  • Structured cabling
  • Server room facilities
  • CCTV, alarm, and access control systems
  • Audio-visual equipment and meeting room technology
• Monitor delivery progress and proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact implementation.
• Work with project managers and technical specialists to resolve onsite challenges and maintain delivery timelines.
• Support testing, go-live activities, and post-implementation hypercare.

 
About You
You’ll likely come from a Technical Project Coordinator background, with experience supporting the delivery of IT infrastructure or technology projects. You will be comfortable working directly with technical teams, vendors, and contractors to coordinate successful onsite implementations.

You will bring:

• Experience coordinating IT infrastructure or technology implementation projects.
• Knowledge of networking, structured cabling, server rooms, security systems, or physical technology installations.
• Experience managing multiple vendors, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to interpret technical designs, build documentation, and installation requirements.
• A practical, proactive, and hands-on approach to delivery.
