About the Role
We are seeking experienced Senior Java Developers to join a growing development practice responsible for designing, building, and supporting enterprise-grade applications.
This role will see you working across a range of products and projects, partnering closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Test Analysts, and fellow developers to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.
You will play a key role in software design, development, system integration, mentoring junior team members, and driving engineering best practices across the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications
• Build scalable microservices and APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Develop modern front-end applications with React
• Design and implement event-driven solutions using Kafka
• Participate in system architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making
• Mentor and support junior and intermediate developers
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure code quality through testing, peer reviews, and best practice development standards

Skills & Experience

• Proven commercial experience as a Senior Java Developer
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Solid front-end development experience using React
• Previous experience with Angular would be helpful as they move to React
• Experience building event-driven solutions with Kafka
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system design
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
• Strong knowledge of source control and modern development practices
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to mentor developers and contribute to a high-performing team
