Our client is a growing managed IT services provider based in Mount Wellington, supporting organisations across New Zealand and Australia. They specialise in delivering modern, secure IT environments built on Microsoft cloud technologies, with an emphasis on proactive support and continuous improvement.

About the Role
This is a hands-on, client-facing Senior Support Engineer position supporting a diverse customer base. You’ll work across multiple environments, handling a blend of remote support, onsite work, escalations, and project delivery.

The role offers strong variety, from troubleshooting day-to-day issues through to contributing to system improvements and security initiatives. Regular travel within Auckland is part of the role.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 to 3 support across multiple client environments
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Intune, endpoint, server, and networking issues
  • Deliver remote and onsite support, including hardware troubleshooting
  • Support Microsoft technologies including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID, and Intune
  • Assist with projects, migrations, onboarding and offboarding
  • Maintain documentation and accurate time tracking

Skills & Experience

  • 3-6+ years’ experience in IT, ideally within a managed services environment
  • Strong Microsoft 365 capability, including hands-on Intune experience
  • Confident using PowerShell for administration and automation
  • Broad troubleshooting ability across cloud, infrastructure, endpoints, and networks
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualisation, and backups
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients

Nice to Have

  • Experience with RMM tools
  • Exposure to Veeam or similar backup platforms
  • Experience with VoIP or Teams Calling
  • Familiarity with macOS environments
