About the role:
The Senior Data Engineer will join the Digital Business team. This team oversees all technology applications, services, and the delivery of digital initiatives across the organisation. Reporting to the Data Architect, this role will be instrumental in supporting a wide range of systems and processes within the organisation’s data environment. This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Head Office in Tauranga.

Key Requirements

• Enhance Data Platforms & Analytics Delivery
  Develop and improve the Data Platform (Azure Synapse), SSAS Tabular Models, and ad-hoc data delivery processes to enable efficient delivery of key business metrics and insights.
• Advanced Data Engineering & Problem Solving
  Solve complex data challenges using SQL, Python, and DAX to generate new metrics and insights not currently available in existing data platforms.
• BI Reporting & Visualization
  Design, develop, and support BI solutions using Power BI and SSRS, creating dashboards and reports that deliver meaningful, value-driven insights to stakeholders.
• Data Integration & Migration
  Collaborate with project teams and vendors on data migration initiatives, ensuring seamless data integration and alignment with business requirements.
• End-to-End Data Solution Development
  Build scalable data solutions and automate processes using tools such as SSIS, JAMS, SQL Server, Power Automate, Fabric, Logic Apps, MS Access, and Task Scheduler.
• Technical Expertise & Collaboration
  Leverage 10+ years of experience in SQL Server, Azure Synapse, and BI development alongside strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills to analyse complex datasets and drive actionable insights.
