About the Role
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced IT Manager to own and continuously improve the organisation’s IT and digital environment. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the role is accountable for IT strategy, cyber security, clinical systems, digital transformation and risk management, while providing assurance to senior leadership and board committees.
You will lead a small internal team, manage external vendors, and ensure systems are secure, reliable and fit for purpose to support clinical care, efficient operations and data-driven decision-making.
The role operates across a multi‑site environment and requires regular travel to other organisational sites.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver an IT strategy and roadmap aligned with organisational objectives
- Lead cyber security, data privacy and IT risk management, including audits, incident response and reporting
- Oversee systems, core applications and infrastructure to ensure reliability, integration and compliance
- Drive digital transformation initiatives including cloud, automation, data and emerging technologies
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, contracts and procurement within delegated authority
- Provide responsive IT service delivery across multiple sites with clear service levels and performance metrics
- Prepare clear, timely reports for senior leadership, committees and board forums
- Lead, coach and develop direct reports, fostering a collaborative and accountable team culture
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a hands‑on IT leadership or senior technical role within a complex, multi‑site environment.
- Strong hands‑on expertise in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, including tenant configuration, Azure workloads, migrations, licensing, and platform operations.
- Hands‑on administration of Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Defender, and SharePoint Online across identity, endpoint management, collaboration, and security configuration.
- Proven experience operating core cybersecurity controls including IAM, MFA, Conditional Access, endpoint security, and incident response.
- Experience managing technology vendors, budgets, and service delivery, with a focus on service performance and cost optimisation.
- Strong technical project delivery experience, with the ability to translate complex technical solutions into practical business and clinical outcomes.
