About the Role

As the eCommerce Lead – Web Performance & Strategy, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the digital performance agenda. Sitting at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and optimisation, you’ll shape and execute data-led initiatives that enhance customer journeys and improve the effectiveness of our digital channels.

You’ll work hands-on with cross-functional teams—including UX, development, marketing, and data analytics—to uncover performance opportunities, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure the continued success of our digital platforms. While this role doesn’t come with direct reports, you’ll be the go-to lead for web performance strategy—setting direction, guiding priorities, and influencing delivery across the squad.

This is a strategic, hands-on role for someone who thrives on using data to drive performance uplift and deliver measurable impact.

Key Focus Areas

  • Develop and execute data-driven strategy plans to improve web performance, customer journeys, and digital channel outcomes
  • Identify and drive continuous optimisation opportunities across digital experiences
  • Work cross-functionally with UX, developers, marketers, and analysts to implement and measure high-impact initiatives
  • Leverage tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics (nice to have), or similar to analyse and optimise key digital performance metrics
  • Act as the web performance lead within a collaborative squad, bringing strategic direction, operational clarity, and a customer-first mindset

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has successfully developed and delivered strategic web analytics plans with a focus on long-term performance and continuous improvement
  • Can clearly demonstrate experience measuring and optimising website performance using analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
  • Has led cross-functional digital initiatives, driving results in collaboration with UX, dev, content, and marketing teams
  • Brings a strong background in eCommerce, digital performance, or web analytics, with a proven ability to deliver uplift in customer journeys
  • Thinks like a customer and acts like a strategist—translating insight into action that drives measurable value
  • (Bonus) Has experience in telco or other high-traffic, data-rich industries

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong foundation in eCommerce, digital performance, or web analytics
  • Demonstrated success in building and executing web optimisation strategies
  • Deep working knowledge of Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics (or similar platforms)
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and influencing across teams without formal authority
