About the Company & Role

A leading organisation driving meaningful, large-scale initiatives to improve services and enhance experiences across the Auckland region is seeking an experienced End User Platforms Product Owner to drive the strategy, delivery, and optimisation of end user computing platforms across the business.

This is a pivotal role that blends technical expertise with product ownership, focused on enhancing user experience, system performance, and enterprise compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the product roadmap for End User Computing (EUC) platforms, aligning with business needs and IT strategy.
  • Translate user pain points into actionable backlog items and prioritise features, enhancements, and technical debt.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, InfoSec, Help Desk, and business stakeholders to deliver seamless, secure, and productive end user experiences.
  • Ensure platforms are scalable, secure, compliant, and effectively managed through their lifecycle.

Technical Skills Required

  • End User Computing (EUC): Strong knowledge and experience with Windows, MacOS, VDI (e.g. VMware Horizon, AVD) and iOS/Android platforms
  • Endpoint Management & MDM: Solid experience with Intune, Jamf, Workspace ONE, along with GPOs, configuration profiles and scripting for policy management scripting
  • Collaboration Tools: Experience with Microsoft 365 (Teams, OneDrive, Outlook), along with familiarity with DLP/email security and Google Workspace (bonus)
  • IT Service Management (ITSM): Solid understanding of ServiceNow or Jira SM; including workflows and automations
  • Security: Knowledge of Endpoint protection, awareness of compliance standards (ISO 27001, GDPR) and familiarity with IAM (AD, Azure AD, MFA)
  • Networking: Understanding of VPNs, proxies, firewalls, and end user impact along with basic troubleshooting (DNS, latency)
  • Monitoring: Experience with Defender for Endpoint, SCCM, Splunk, KQL
  • Automation & Scripting (Desirable): PowerShell, Bash/Python, Autopilot, Puppet, Ansible

Other Skills : –

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to balance user experience with security and operational constraints
  • Experienced in managing technical backlogs and cross-functional delivery
