About the Role
You’ll be leading the design and implementation of a distributed event streaming platform using Kafka, Confluent, and Datastax, with a focus on developer experience. This role includes building reusable SDKs, mentoring developers, and ensuring seamless integration across cloud and legacy systems. You’ll collaborate across squads and work closely with solution architects, engineers, and product leaders to deliver scalable, secure solutions aligned to business goals.
 
Day to Day Responsibilities

• Design and build reusable SDKs for Kafka, Confluent, and Datastax integration
• Lead architecture decisions for distributed, event-driven systems
• Consult with engineering teams on adoption and platform integration
• Define and document best practices, usage guides, and examples
• Contribute to CI/CD, observability, and performance tooling for platform components

Skills & Experience Required

• 10+ years software engineering experience, including .NET and event-driven systems
• Strong expertise with Apache Kafka, Confluent, and Datastax platforms
• Hands-on experience designing SDKs, APIs, or shared libraries for engineering teams
• Familiarity with Azure, Kubernetes, security patterns, and observability tooling
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; mentoring or consulting experience a plus
