We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a forward-thinking and fast-paced technical environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and evolving infrastructure for one of New Zealand’s most visible platforms — ensuring performance, resilience, and security across two data centres.

About the Role:

You’ll manage a wide range of infrastructure technologies, lead key initiatives, and contribute to the smooth running of complex hybrid environments. This role balances architecture-level decision-making with hands-on engineering across critical platforms.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing and maintaining VMware virtual environments
• Supporting HP storage, compute, and network hardware
• Configuring WatchGuard firewalls and F5 load balancers
• Working with containerised applications on OpenShift Kubernetes
• Performing break/fix and hardware installations across two data centres
• Supporting Windows & Linux OS and working with Oracle & MSSQL databases
• Collaborating with internal teams and global stakeholders (US, EU, India)

About You:

You’re an experienced infrastructure engineer who enjoys both strategy and execution. You’re comfortable jumping between data centres, virtual environments, and working closely with international teams.

You’ll bring:

• Solid hands-on experience with VMware, HP storage and networking, and F5/WatchGuard
• Experience with OpenShift and containerized environments
• Strong knowledge of Windows & Linux admin
• Data centre experience (rack/stack, troubleshooting, hardware support)
• Familiarity with Oracle or MSSQL, and ideally RabbitMQ/AMQP
• Bonus: Relevant certifications (VMware, Red Hat, etc.)
