About the role

Our client is seeking a passionate Security Engineer who’s not just great with tools but also thrives on solving complex security challenges and working closely with clients to strengthen their security posture.

As a Security Engineer, you’ll identify, prioritize, and report on vulnerabilities while driving remediation efforts for a growing client base. Working with a skilled team, you’ll build strong customer relationships, deploy vulnerability assessment tools, and enhance services through automation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Vulnerability Assessments: Perform in-depth scans using industry-leading tools to detect vulnerabilities across diverse environments.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze security gaps, prioritize risks, and provide clear, actionable remediation strategies.
  • Client Collaboration: Build trust with clients, guiding them through complex security landscapes and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Tool Deployment & Management: Set up, configure, and maintain vulnerability assessment tools for optimal performance.
  • Automation & Optimization: Develop scripts, dashboards, and applications to streamline vulnerability management processes.
  • Insightful Reporting: Create detailed security reports, translate technical findings into business risks, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay on top of the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends, sharing knowledge to strengthen the team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, third-party vendors, and tech partners to ensure end-to-end security solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Background in systems engineering, infrastructure, or networking, with 3-5 years of hands-on experience.
  • Hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting both Linux and Windows environments
  • Strong knowledge of networking principles, with deep understanding of networking related concepts.
  • Proven experience in vulnerability assessments for IT infrastructure, web apps, and cloud environments.
  • Must have hands-on expertise in scripting and programming languages like PowerShell / Bash / Python.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills—capable of simplifying complex issues for diverse audiences.
  • A client-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for cybersecurity and a curiosity to stay ahead of evolving threats.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Prior experience in a client-facing security role.
