Our client, a leading provider of comprehensive facilities maintenance and service solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join their growing team.  The company operates across a range of services, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, network operations, and electricity supply.

Essential Skills:

  • Good experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Engineering.
  • Expertise in data migrations and ensuring efficient data pipeline operations.
  • Proficient with cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Data Lakes, and ideally Fabric.
  • Strong background in full Data Warehouse design and builds, with integration into cloud platforms.
  • Data modeling expertise, with hands-on experience in development-based Data Warehousing, ETL, and BI Engineering.
  • Skilled in developing data transformation routines using ETL tools or other techniques.
  • Experience migrating data from legacy platforms to cloud-based environments.
  • Proficient in designing and developing relational databases for data collection, ideally Oracle
  • Involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle, including strategy, road-mapping, architecture, and implementation.
  • Familiar with data and reporting platform development, using technologies such as MS SQL Server BI Stack, DataStage, Teradata, Snowflake, and AWS/Azure-related data services.

Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric for automating ETL tasks.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for managing existing packages.
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for maintaining legacy reports.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) for managing simple data cubes.
