Role Overview

Working for a New Zealand leading institution in technical consultancy, our client is searching for a Senior Digital Solutions Architect.
The right candidate will be able to spearhead digital transformation initiatives by designing and implementing advanced digital solutions that address complex business challenges. You will focus primarily on cloud and hybrid projects, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Azure, though there may be opportunities to engage with other platforms such as AWS. Your role will involve collaborating with diverse teams to develop innovative solutions that cater to both business and technical needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Design: Lead the creation of functional design specifications and reference architectures, ensuring alignment with top frameworks.
• Client Relations: Serve as a trusted consultant by understanding customer needs and crafting tailored solutions. Collaborate with both business and technical teams to drive project success.
• Creative Problem-Solving: Spearhead the development of innovative solutions and address complex challenges in cloud and hybrid environments to deliver significant value.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide comprehensive cloud solutions, ensuring smooth coordination and technical expertise.
• Professional Development: Mentor and support fellow architects and engineers, cultivating a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Skills and Experience

• Azure Proficiency: Possess extensive experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions with Microsoft Azure, along with a solid grasp of software architecture and infrastructure.
• Client Interaction: Demonstrate exceptional skills in engaging with clients, with a keen eye for detail, strong decision-making abilities, and clear communication.
• Practical Approach: Apply hands-on skills with a pragmatic mindset, informed by best practices and theoretical knowledge.
• Communication Skills: Exhibit superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Trend Analysis: Identify and share emerging trends with the team to drive new innovations and advancements.
• Innovative Track Record: Show a proven history of boosting productivity and leading technological advancements within an organization.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience in designing products and services
• Knowledge of IoT architecture
• Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and related tools
• Experience in cybersecurity
• Relevant Microsoft certifications
• Familiarity with non – Microsoft cloud platforms and frameworks
