Automation Engineer

We’re seeking an experienced Automation Engineer for an initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend. This role suits a technically strong automation professional who enjoys building robust test frameworks and leveraging modern technologies to improve software quality.
You’ll bring deep expertise in Playwright (TypeScript), strong coding capabilities, and hands-on experience incorporating AI tools into the QA lifecycle to improve productivity, test coverage, and overall testing outcomes. Technical ability is critical, and candidates will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the interview process.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience with Playwright and TypeScript
• Strong automation testing and software engineering skills
• Proven experience using AI tools to enhance QA processes
• Excellent coding and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively within an agile delivery environment

Nice to Have:

• AS400 experience
• Salesforce experience

Contract Details:

• Initial 6-month contract
• $110 per hour
• Auckland-based
• Hybrid working model with 2 to 3 days per week in the office
• Potential for extension based on project requirements and budget
