Senior Java Developer

• 6months initial contract

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Java Developer to take ownership across the full Java stack — from code-level development through to platform upgrades and security improvements.

This role carries high expectations, requiring someone resourceful, hands-on, and confident working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes across a wide range of responsibilities, including pipeline updates, JDK upgrades, security fixes, and platform optimisation.

Key Skills Required:

• Extensive, proven experience with Java
• Advanced knowledge of the Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Hibernate
• Strong experience with Apache Tomcat
• Ability to take ownership of complex issues and deliver results under high expectations

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Linux environments
• Experience with cloud platforms such as OpenShift or AWS
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible and Terraform
