Lead Architect

• Work closely with BA’s to translate business need into technology requirements

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to influence and define the systems architecture for a mid-sized public sector organisation undergoing a major transformation. With limited recent technology investment, the organisation is initiating a greenfields programme to implement five core enterprise systems—Health & Safety, Asset Management (with GIS), Construction Management, and CRM/CMS.
Conducting a multi-stage RFP process, each system may be procured individually or together. As Lead Architect, you’ll work closely with Business Analysts to shape business needs into architectural scope, provide oversight across all solution areas, and ensure readiness for vendor engagement and implementation planning.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Partner with Business Analysts to define and communicate architectural scope and options
• Provide cross-domain architecture leadership for all five solutions
• Guide the development and review of RFP documentation
• Support evaluation of vendor proposals and solution designs
• Ensure alignment across enterprise, application, and integration layers

Skills & Experience Required 

• Broad architectural experience across multiple technology and business domains
• Strong communicator who can guide BA’s and stakeholders on technical requirements
• Experience supporting large-scale solution procurement or RFP-led projects
• Familiarity with greenfields or transformation environments
• Ability to design for CRM, Asset, H&S, and other enterprise systems
