This contract role is ideal for an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in maintaining and enhancing established systems, while also contributing to new AI-powered applications. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team to deliver, test, maintain, and support customer applications, develop APIs, and provide high-quality platform support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support customer applications within a consulting practice.
• Write clean, maintainable code across .NET, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain APIs to a high standard.
• Provide effective application and platform support, including out-of-hours on-call.
• Collaborate with AI teams on emerging applications and technologies.
• Build trusted relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ software development experience with .NET, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of legacy systems and ability to enhance them.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, with a quality-first mindset.
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working, QA practices, unit testing, and peer reviews.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in additional languages such as C# or Python.
• SaaS platform knowledge, particularly in marketing/communications domains.
• API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia) and SDLC knowledge.
• Exposure to data engineering and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS).
