About the Role
Our client is a mid-sized public sector organisation embarking on a significant systems upgrade following a long period of limited investment. A greenfields programme is now underway to stand up five foundational enterprise systems, including a new Asset Management System with GIS and field integration, as well as platforms for Health & Safety, Construction Management, and CRM/CMS.
As the Asset Domain Architect, you’ll lead the technical evaluation, solution design, and integration approach for the asset platform. Working alongside Business Analysts and the Lead Architect, you’ll ensure the system is future-fit and aligned to organisational needs. This work supports a multi-stage, RFP process, offering the chance to shape the architecture early and meaningfully.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and vendor evaluation for the asset management system
- Define capability and integration needs, including GIS and mobile components
- Collaborate with BA’s to capture business needs and align to technical design
- Support the RFP process and vendor engagement across design phases
- Ensure architecture is robust, scalable, and aligned to programme goals
Skills and Experience Required
- Deep understanding of asset management platforms and supporting architecture
- Experience designing and selecting systems with GIS and field technology integration
- Ability to assess capability fit and define integration architecture
- Previous work in enterprise or domain architecture roles
- Confident collaborator across business, architecture, and vendor teams
