About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Security Engineer for a 6-month contract to support key security initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance, detecting threats, and implementing security measures across the organisation’s infrastructure. You’ll work closely with internal teams and project stakeholders to drive security best practices.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Ensure platforms meet ISO27001 security requirements & compliance controls.
• Work with project teams to translate business needs into measurable security controls.
• Detect, analyze & respond to cybersecurity incidents.
• Develop & implement remediation plans to mitigate security threats.
• Conduct threat-hunting activities & stay ahead of emerging security trends.
• Provide Level 1 support, escalating to MSP when necessary.
• Produce security reports to ensure compliance & inform stakeholders.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity infrastructure (firewalls, endpoint security, vulnerability management).
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Fortinet, Email Protection & Data Loss Prevention.
• Strong problem-solving skills & ability to drive security improvements.
• A risk-aware mindset—building sustainable & secure solutions.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills.
• A team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable managing ambiguity & change in security operations.
