Q. When do I get paid?
All contractors get paid on, or around the 10th of each month for the previous months work. Each contractor, when they sign their contract, is given a payment schedule detailing timeframes for sending documents to absoluteIT, and the exact date each month’s payment will be credited to their accounts.
Q. What happens if I miss the timesheet and invoice deadlines?
If you miss the timesheet and invoice deadlines (as per the Payment Schedule) your payment may be delayed. If you think you may have trouble meeting the deadlines please contact our friendly finance team to discuss options.
Q. How do I know if I should be registered for GST?
If you expect to invoice more than $60,000 in a financial year than you must be GST registered and you must charge GST to your clients. For more information please visit http://www.ird.govt.nz/gst/gst-registering/register-who/
Q. What is professional indemnity insurance? And why do I have to have this type of insurance?
Professional indemnity insurance covers you for any risk associated when providing services to absoluteIT and its clients. Our policies have recently been improved so that you are now covered for any claims arising from work you have completed irrespective of whether you are still contracting to the client concerned.
